Zodiac Cymbals 18" Crash Taurus Dark

The Taurus Dark 18" Crash is built for drummers who crave deep, earthy tones with commanding presence. Its attack is strong and immediate, opening into a dark, complex wash with extended sustain and layered overtones. The voice is powerful yet musical, offering a shadowed timbre that blends seamlessly into heavy arrangements while still providing expressive nuance for softer passages. Perfect for rock, metal, fusion, and cinematic styles, the Taurus Dark Crash adds depth and weight to any performance.

• Material: Hand‑hammered B20 bronze alloy (80% copper, 20% tin), chosen for its warmth, projection, and tonal richness.
• Craftsmanship: Traditional hand‑hammering and lathing, with a dark patina finish across the center and bell, contrasted by a subtly polished edge for visual impact.
• Sound Profile: Dark, powerful crash with a focused attack and a grainy, shadowed wash that expands with the larger diameter, offering medium‑long sustain.
• Applications: Ideal for live performance, studio recording, and rehearsal, designed for intermediate to professional drummers seeking a darker crash voice.
• Versatility: Excels in heavy genres where projection and weight are essential, while still offering dynamic control for nuanced playing.
• Finish: Taurus Dark signature finish — patinaed surface paired with a subtly lathed edge, creating both tonal depth and a bold, dramatic aesthetic.

Taurus Dark 18" Crash is the heaviest, most shadowed voice in the ZODIAC CYMBALS lineup — contrasting with the brighter Aquarius, warmer Virgo, articulate Gemini, and aggressive Scorpio series.
